Almonte was one of the models of consistency in the 2013 campaign, leading the Owls to an appearance in the A-Sun Championship game for the second consecutive season... Helped turn 57 double plays at second base, starting in 58 games while playing in 56... With a .291 batting average, Almonte led the team with eight games with three or more hits... Scored four runs in a game at Georgia Southern (4/17)... A true lead-off hitter, Almonte had 10 stolen bases and hit over .500 on the season when leading off an inning to go with his 79 total bases and 31 runs scored...
2012
Started 58 games for KSU, hit .295 Batting Average (66-for-224) with 11 doubles and five homeruns, 49 runs and 33 RBI…Feb.17 vs Bradley, made his first appearance as an Owl and had a homerun in the seventh inning, batted in the leadoff spot…Feb. 29 vs Georgia Tech, 3-for-5, two runs, two RBI, and a homerun…Apr. 6, vs Lipscomb, 2-for-4, one run, and three RBI…Apr. 13 vs Stetson, 3-for-4, two runs, four RBI, one homerun…Apr. 22 vs Belmont, 3-for-3, one run, one RBI…May 12 vs USC Upstate, 4-for-5, two runs, one RBI…Atlantic Sun Championship, batted .250 (5-for-20) with four runs and three RBI.

Started in all 54 games and batted .400 to lead Gordon College in at-bats (215), runs (62), hits (86), triples (4), total bases (120), walks (26) and stolen bases (27).
2010 (Gordon College)
Started in a record 61 games for Gordon College where he played along side current Owls left fielder Aaron Dobbs … Set the program record with a .464 batting average and also established a program mark with 104 hits … Scored 71 runs, had 19 doubles, two triples, three home runs and scored 65 runs ... Was 21-for-29 in stolen base attempts ... Had an 11-game hitting streak to start the year ... Reached base safely in 57 games ... Finished his freshman year on a 15-game hitting streak ... Collected 32 multi-hit games ... Had a career high four RBI against Lakeland College (2/21) Chattanooga State (3/30) and Andrew College (4/23) ... Had a career-high four hits in a game against ABAC (3/27) and Middle Georgia (4/17) … 2010 2nd Team All-Region selection … 2010 Region XVII All-Tournament Team … Was an All-District East Central team selection as well as a two-time GJCAA All-Region Team selection at shortstop.

During his prep career at East Paulding High School he was a three-year letterwinner and starting shortstop … Led EPHS to the state tournament in his junior and senior season and was named the state tournament’s Most Valuable Player in 2009, his senior year … Was East Paulding’s Offensive Player of the year in his junior and senior seasons.
