How Kennesaw State Athletics is Adapting to a New College Landscape
Effective July 1, 2025, NCAA Division I member institutions may provide direct compensation to student-athletes as long as they remain academically eligible, through the use of athletic department revenue. To help Kennesaw State University Athletics thrive this new landscape of collegiate athletics, the Owl Enhancement Fund was created. Through this Fund, KSU will remain competitive with other departments at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision level, as well as members of Conference USA and the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Director of Athletics Milton Overton has committed to $1 million of revenue share to student-athletes for the 2025-26 academic year as Kennesaw State embarks on this new chapter. In compliance with the House Settlement and in alignment with the full members of Conference USA, KSU Athletics is making plans to distribute the fund across specific programs at Kennesaw State to improve the student-athlete experience and attract top-level talent both on the fields of play and in the classroom. In addition to the Owl Enhancement Fund, Kennesaw State Athletics remains committed to its current [SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT HERE] in athletic scholarships across its 18 NCAA Division I teams.
