Kennesaw State University Athletics

In just its third year of existence in 2017, the Kennesaw State football team completed a season for the ages, posting a 12-2 record and capturing the Big South Conference championship with an undefeated mark in league play.

The Owls won back-to-back NCAA Division I FCS Playoff games, advancing to the quarterfinals and earning a national ranking of No. 8 in the final poll of the year. Head coach Brian Bohannon was named the 2017 AFCA FCS Coach of the Year and Bryson Armstrong earned the Jerry Rice Award as the national freshman of the year.

Fifth Third Bank Stadium, the signature athletics landmark on the Kennesaw State University campus, is a world-class facility that has been recognized as one of the premier multi-use outdoor athletics venues in the country. It was named a top 10 FCS atmosphere by Stadium Journey and the Owls are 16-3 (.842) at home during their first three seasons.

Season tickets for the 2018 campaign include a Nov. 17 date with Jacksonville State at SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. The Matchup will be the first football game at the venue as Kennesaw State has partnered with the Braves to provide a unique setting at the new 41,000-seat home of the Braves that opened in Cobb County in April 2017.
