Rewards Point System
For the 2012-13 academic year, the point system will reward those who stay for the entire game. Students can get their ID's scanned twice to earn the maximum point total. The first scan will occur when you pick up your game ticket and the second scan will occur after the conclusion of the game. Below is the maximum point total for each game. If you only get your ID scanned once, then you will earn half of what is listed:

Soccer 2 points
Men's Basketball 2 points
Baseball 2 points
     
Volleyball 4 points
Softball 4 points
Women's Lacrosse  4 points
Women's Basketball  4 points

Rewards Pick-up
As students earn the free merchandise, they will be able to pick it up from the Owl Nation booth located on the first floor of the KSU Convocation Center on selected Tuesday’s from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm while school is in session.

The Black and Gold
The Black and Gold is a student-run organization whose members pride themselves on being the leaders of the student body at all Owls athletic events. The students in The Black and Gold are considered donors to The Owls Fund, which is the official fundraising arm of KSU Athletics and provides annual support for student-athlete scholarships, capital improvements, and general operating budget needs.

CONCEPT
Owl Nation is a fan-driven and sponsor-supported incentive program to increase attendance and KSU Spirit among students at selected KSU sporting events. KSU students are a vital part of the home court advantage at all of the Owls home athletic events. Their attendance brings vital energy to the atmosphere and motivates the student athletes to perform at their highest level.

HISTORY
The 2012-13 academic year marks the fourth year of the Owl Nation Student Rewards Program.  Throughout the academic year, student reward points will be received through attendance at Volleyball, Women’s Soccer, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Women's Lacrosse, Baseball and Softball Games. Right now, there are 90+ events you can attend!

BECOME A MEMBER OF OWL NATION 
This program is simple. There is no need to sign up or register for anything. Just attend any KSU home athletic event, scan your student ID (KSU Card) at the student entrance, and your attendance will automatically be recorded and rewarded with points.  There will be double point nights throughout the year, so make sure to stay up to date on the schedules.

PRIZES
Every student is eligible for the following prizes based on the amount of points they have earned when the visit the rewards pick-up booth:
5 PT       -    Owls Stadium Cup
10 PTS       -    McDonald's Gift Card
20 PTS       - Water Bottle or Tervis Tumbler
30 PTS       - Willy's Mexicana Grill Gift Card
40 PTS       - Owls Laundry Bag
50 PTS       - NCG Movie Tickets (2)
60 PTS       - Owls Adidas Hat
70 PTS       - TBD


The Top Five (5) point leaders will be entered into a drawing where one lucky fan will win the grand prize and the rest of the top five leaders will receive a runners up prize:

REWARDS PROGRAM GUIDLINES 
1. The rewards program is open to all currently registered undergraduate students at KSU. Students that transfer from KSU or graduate mid-year (e.g. December) will no longer be able to eligible for additional attendance.

2. Students are responsible for getting their ID’s scanned when they arrive to the game. For Volleyball, Baseball and Softball ID’s will be scanned until ONE HOUR after start time. For Basketball, ID’s will be scanned up to the conclusion of halftime. A student cannot receive credit for attendance if he or she forgets to have their ID scanned.  You may not use another student’s card for credit.

3. In the event that there is a problem with the scanner during the game, the students’ name will be collected FOR THAT EVENT ONLY and their attendance will be manually added to the system.

4. Once a student reaches a new incentive level, they may pick up their item at the KSU Marketing table located inside the Convocation Center on specified pick-up dates and times. These pick-up dates can be found below. 

5. All members will start at zero (0) points each school year.

6. Each student is entitled to scan only his/her card. The KSU Athletic Department will designate Rewards Games. All dates and times are subject to change. Check www.ksuowls.com for up-to-date information and the latest Owl news.

7. By participating in the Owl Nation Rewards Program, students agree to allow the athletic department to publish their names on the program's website.

8. Students competing in an athletic event and/or students working at an athletic event CANNOT receive a reward point for that event. Students can receive a reward point for events they are not competing in or competing at.

9.
