He is a big and athletic player that swings for the fences and has power to drive the ball out out of a large Stillwell Stadium... His power is what has garnered MLB scouts attention as well as his defensive abilities... He was highly rated by Perfect Game and there is a buzz around Duran as the season approaches.

2012 Summer League (6-4-3 DP / Sunbelt) 
One of three KSU teammates on the Cougars... Appeared in 18 games with 43 AB’s with a .047 AVG... He had four RBI with seven walks... 2012 Season – Appeared in six games for Kennesaw State, had a .333 batting average (two-for-six) with one run scored and one base-on-balls. He also had a 1.000% fielding in 8 put out attempts.

Prep Career (Southwest Miami High School)
Was a First Team All-County selection his senior year… Honorable Mention All-County in his sophomore and junior seasons … Led the Eagles to a conference and district championship his senior season… Batted .440 with seven home runs and 35 runs batted during his final prep season… Was a four-year letterwinner and ranked in the top 10 percent of his class throughout his high school career.
