KENNESAW - Kennesaw State men's golf senior Shaun Cook was honored his work on the course and in the classroom, being named to CSC Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
 
In the classroom, Cook carried a 3.58 GPA as a business finance major. He graduated with his degree in May. 
 
On the course, Cook competed in 11 events this season and led Kennesaw State with a 70.88 scoring average, posting 20 of his 33 rounds at par or better. He earned his second career victory at the Scrappy at Cobblestone with rounds of 69-73-69 for a 5-under-par 211 and added a third-place finish at the J.T. Poston Invitational at 6-under par 204. Cook recorded top 20 finishes in four of five spring tournaments, including a tie for 19th at the Linger Longer Invitational at 3-under par, where he fired a season-best 5-under 67 in the final round and finished ahead of five players ranked in the Scoreboard Individual standings that week. He also tied for eighth at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate at 4-under par. Cook has been KSU's top finisher in five of nine tournaments this season. Cook played as an individual in the NCAA Athens Regional where he finished tied for tied for 60th.
