LEXINGTON, Ky. – Emma Sullivan of the Kennesaw State women's track and field team punched her ticket to Eugene, Oregon in the 800m at NCAA East First Rounds Saturday at the UK Outdoor Track and Field Facility on the campus of the University of Kentucky.
Sullivan ran a personal-best time of 2:00.73 to place seventh. That time set a new school record in the event. She is the second Owl to reach the semifinals in program history joining Sarah Hendrick, who went 2021, 2022 and 2023. Sullivan will be making her second consecutive trip to Eugene. The senior will compete in the semifinals at 9:58 p.m. on Thursday, June 11.
Notable Performances
Madison Seiler ran a personal best time of 10:05.72 to place 17th in the 3k steeplechase.
Jermiya Winston closed out her freshman season placing 37th in the triple jump with a leap of 12.39m (40'7.75").
Victoria Joyce concluded her senior season finishing 47th in the triple jump with a mark of 11.77m (38'7.5").
