DALLAS – Kennesaw State baseball's Josh Gibbs, Grayson McCollum, Daniel Powell, Jayden Summerville and Cooper Williams each earned Conference USA postseason honors, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon. Powell (First Team) and Williams (Second Team) were named to an All-CUSA team while Gibbs, McCollum and Summerville each earned spots on the All-Freshman team.
Powell's selection to the conference first team marks the second consecutive season an Owl relief pitcher has garnered All-CUSA honors, joining Bo Rhudy, who was also named to the First Team in 2025. Williams became the second KSU utility player to earn All-CUSA recognition, joining Donovan Cash, who garnered first team honors in 2025.
Kennesaw State paced the All-Freshman Team with three selections, marking the second straight season the Owls have placed multiple players on the squad after Wesley Alig and Ty Bayer were recognized following standout freshman campaigns in 2025.
All-CUSA First Team (RP)
- Finished with a team-high 25 appearances, 53.0 innings and 62 strikeouts out of the bullpen
- Appeared in more than half of the Owls' CUSA contests, hurling 35.0 innings across 16 appearances while tying Harry Cain for the team lead in conference strikeouts (40)
- Ended the regular season among the top five qualified arms in the league in ERA (No. 3, 3.06), hits allowed per nine innings (No. 2, 6.62), saves (No. 4, 7) and strikeouts per nine innings (No. 5, 10.53)
- Struck out six in 2.2 innings of work against Sam Houston on May 1
- Worked a season-long 5.1 innings with four strikeouts in the series finale against Liberty
All-CUSA Second Team (UTL)
- Appeared in every regular season game while starting every CUSA contest for the Owls
- Made 50 starts at six different positions (25 at 3B, 20 in LF, two in RF, one each at 2B, SS and DH)
- Led the team offensively during the regular season, hitting .312/.395/.485 overall with 18 extra-base hits
- Hit .308 (40-for-130) with five doubles, five homers, 18 RBIs and 18 runs scored in conference play
- Ranked among qualified CUSA hitters with the 25th-best batting average and the fifth-most stolen bases (20)
- Went 4-for-6 with two homers in the series finale at Delaware on March 29
All-Freshman Team
- Hit .250/.336/.390 with eight extra-base hits in his rookie season
- Went 4-for-5 with two RBIs against Georgia Southern on March 17 to record the first multi-hit game of his career
- Hit his first career home run as part of a 2-for-5 performance that also included a triple at Western Kentucky on April 24
All-Freshman Team
- Opened the season as KSU's starting third baseman and appeared in 34 games, posting a .284/.348/.328 slash line with five doubles and 21 RBIs
- Went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in his collegiate debut against Evansville on Feb. 13
- Drove in a career-high six RBIs while going 4-for-6 against Georgia Southern on March 17
All-Freshman Team
- Opened the season as a key relief option for the Owls
- Struck out three of the first four hitters he faced in his collegiate career, recording one strikeout against West Georgia and two against No. 12 Florida
- Worked 2.1 innings with four strikeouts in KSU's win over Samford on March 7
- Followed that performance by earning a 4.0-inning save with three strikeouts in the CUSA opener at Middle Tennessee on March 13
- Struck out five in 3.0 innings against Liberty on March 21 when making his first career start.
