ATLANTA — Kennesaw State track and field collected an event win and a school record on Day One of the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday at George C. Griffin Track Facility.
Men's Recap
Chance Cross won the 100 meters in 10.37 seconds.
Aidan Boyd recorded a toss of 67.51 meters (221'6")) to set a school record and place second in the javelin. Landon Isbell secured seventh with a toss of 57.57 meters (188'10").
Jase Hunter posted a mark of 62.35 meters (204'6")) to finish fourth in the hammer throw. Harrison Pawsat finished seventh with a toss of 58.16 meters ("190'10").
Josh Jones ran 14.25 seconds to finish fourth in the 110-meter hurdles.
Junior Braden Garrison recorded a toss of 16.68 meters (54'8.75") to finish third in the shot put. Evan Martinez (16.25 meters | 53'3.75") and Rickey Robbins (15.71 meters | 51'6.5") finished ninth and 10th, respectively.
Collins Kipkemboi (3:47.66) and Brian Limo (3:50.77) finished seventh and 17th in the 1,500 meters.
Women's Recap
Natalie Harris (13.46 seconds) and Tickia Sutton (13.80 seconds) finished third and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles.
Keira Height and Morgan Pepe each cleared 3.77 meters (12'4.5") to tie for fifth.
Freshman Jermiya Winston recorded a leap of 5.70 meters (18'8.5") to finish ninth in the long jump.
Freshman Tess Krogman (17:51.35) finished 10th in the 5,000 meters.
The Owls will conclude action at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday, April 18.
