MIAMI, Fla. - Kennesaw State baseball grabbed an early lead but couldn't sustain it as FIU pulled away for a 7-1 win Sunday afternoon at FIU Baseball Stadium to complete the series sweep.
Kennesaw State (15-17, 6-9 CUSA) totaled six hits on the day, led by Wesley Alig and Cooper Williams with two apiece. Charlie Jones drove in the Owls' lone run with an RBI double, while Josh Gibbs recorded the final KSU hit with a seventh-inning single.
Ty Bayer (L, 4-4) made his first start since Feb. 28, allowing four runs on seven hits over 4.0 innings. It marked his longest start of the season and his fourth consecutive outing of at least 4.0 innings. Peter Jezerinac closed with 1.1 scoreless innings, striking out two.

- T2 | Wesley Alig led off the inning with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt before scoring on Jones' double off the left-field wall (1-0, Kennesaw State).
- B3 | FIU answered with two runs on four hits to take the lead (2-1, FIU).
- B5 | The Panthers drew two bases-loaded walks to extend the advantage (4-1).
- B6 | A two-run home run pushed the lead further (6-1).
- B7 | A two-out RBI single capped the scoring (7-1).
