KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State women's tennis moved to 3-0 in Conference USA play and notched its fourth shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over Jax State on Friday morning at Betty Siegel Courts.
The Owls took the doubles point in short order with wins on courts one and two.
Ema Baraniakova and
Sofia Madrid won their fourth straight No. 1 doubles match in a 6-1 decision against the Gamecocks' Polina Ramenskaja and Aneka Patel.
Maria Ivankovic and
Irene Serrano Maestre put an end to doubles play with a 6-2 win over Emma Montagner and Alba Roche on two.
Courts two, five and one quickly fell to KSU in straight-set singles wins for the match-clinching points.
Madrid tallied her ninth straight singles win with a 6-0, 6-2 defeat of Patel on two. Serrano Maestre cruised past Montagner 6-1, 6-1 on five, while Baraniakova finished the day on one in a 6-1, 7-5 defeat of Ramenskaja.
