St. Simons, Ga. — Kyle Bachkosky and Hunter Gillard led the Kennesaw State men's golf team Monday during the opening day of the Johnnie-O at Sea Island, hosted at the Plantation Course.
Teams completed 36 holes Monday, and Kennesaw State sits in 14th place at 2-under-par 574.
Bachkosky made 22 pars and 10 birdies Monday. He carded rounds of 68 and 70 and is tied for 16th place at 6-under par.
Gillard is at 3-under after rounds of 72 and 69. He played his final 10 holes of the second round at 3-under.
Playing as an individual, Ryan Nicholson posted rounds of 71 and 74 and is in 59th place.
Shaun Cook is tied for 60th at 2-over par after rounds of 69 and 77.
Walker Gantt (75-76) and Reed Sweigart (80-75) are in 79th and 81st place, respectively.
