DALLAS – A duo of Kennesaw State track and field athletes collected Conference USA Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards, the league announced Tuesday.
Gage Voyles was named CUSA Men's Field Athlete of Week. In just his second outdoor collegiate meet, Voyles cleared 2.18m (7'1.75") to win the high jump and establish a school record in the event. He broke Andre Dorsey's record of 2.17m that was set back on Mar. 26, 2016. That mark ranks No. 1 in CUSA and NCAA East Region and ranks No. 2 in the NCAA this season.
Madison Seiler was named CUSA Track and Field Athlete of the Week. Seiler placed 10
th in a strong field in the 3K steeplechase at Raleigh Relays with a time of 10:09.91. That time ranks tops in CUSA, No. 5 in NCAA East Region and No. 8 in NCAA this season.
