KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State women's tennis returns home for matches versus No. 55 Georgia Tech and Middle Tennessee on March 25 and 27 at Betty Siegel Courts.

The Yellow Jackets are KSU's fourth power conference foe faced this season, and the second to visit Kennesaw after Virginia Tech did so on March 10.

While the Owls' first 13 matches will have come versus teams from seven different conferences, KSU will now finish the regular season with five Conference USA matches. The league's postseason tournament is held April 15-18 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Last Time Out
The Owls tied the program's second-longest winning streak with an eighth consecutive win on March 20 versus No. 58 South Alabama.

KSU took the match from the Jaguars with the doubles point secured by Ema Baraniakova and Sofia Madrid on court one, as well as Maria Ivankovic and Irene Serrano Maestre on court three. Baraniakova, Madrid and Izabelle Persson then took singles matches in straight sets for the 4-0 win.

The Owls' win streak came to a halt on March 22 in a 4-2 loss at Lipscomb.

TRACKING THE OWLS
KSU is 34-26 (.567) in singles this season, with Madrid leading the way at 7-3. The senior from Neuquen, Argentina, has won her last seven straight singles matches and is 6-2 on line two alone.

Ivankovic and Serrano Maestre are a team-best 6-2 in doubles play with five consecutive match wins. As a team, KSU is 19-13 (.594) in doubles.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday's match is the fifth all-time between KSU and Georgia Tech, but the first in which the Yellow Jackets will make the trip up I-75 to Kennesaw. The Owls are 0-4 in their previous meetings with Georgia Tech, with the last one ending in a 5-2 defeat on January 29, 2021. A win over the Yellow Jackets would be KSU's second all-time versus a power conference opponent. The Owls recorded their first such win on March 10 versus Virginia Tech. Defeating the No. 55 Yellow Jackets would overtake KSU's March 20 win over then No. 58 South Alabama for the highest-ranked opponent defeated in program history.

KSU and MTSU meet for the fourth time on Friday, and for the second time as CUSA foes. The Blue Raiders edged the Owls 4-3 in Murfreesboro last season. MTSU leads the series 3-0.

KNOW THE FOE
Georgia Tech (8-8) is coming off a week in which it lost at No. 34 Charlotte (4-3) and beat No. 43 Penn State in Atlanta (4-1). The Yellow Jackets have faced nine ITA top-75 opponents this season and are 3-6 in such matches with wins over the Nittany Lions, No. 69 Louisville and No. 44 Notre Dame. Tech's Seri Nayuki and Alejandra Cruz are the nation's No. 77-ranked doubles pair, while Cruz ranks 66th in singles.

MTSU (5-12) dropped both matches a week ago, at FIU (4-1) and Delaware (5-2). The Blue Raiders finished third in CUSA a season ago at 17-9 (5-2) and return 2025 all-conference doubles player Rutuja Chaphalkar.
