KENNESAW, Ga. – Ariana Silva sits two strokes off the lead and
Alessandra Nagayo is tied for fifth as Kennesaw State women's golf placed second after 36 holes at the Bentwater Women's Collegiate on Monday.
The Owls posted a 38-over par first day (309-305) at the Bentwater Golf Club. Only ACC foe Louisville (26-over) finished better.

Silva led the way with a 3-over par 75 in Round 1 before sinking three bidies in Round 2 for a 1-under par 71. At 2-over par for the tournament, she's just two strokes back from individual leader Veronika Exposito of Louisville (1-under).
Nagayo was right behind Silva in fifth place, shooting 5-over in Round 1 before a 2-over par 74 in Round 2 put her at 7-over through 36.
Nyah Kelly (14-over) and
Jackie Jang (15-over) rounded out Kennesaw State's top five for the day. Kelly turned in a 5-over par 77 and 9-over par 81 to place 31
st, while Jang carded an 8-over par 80 and a 7-over par 79 to place 36
th.
Sabrina Kim (30-over) shot 15-over in both rounds to sit in 68
th place.
Competing as individuals,
Hannah Cheryl Alan (53
rd) shot back-to-back 10-over par 80's to record a 20-over Day 1.
Ladina Luder (57
th) finished one stroke behind her (12-over, 57
th) after a 11-over par 83 in both Round 1 and Round 2.
Natasha Korman carded back-to-back 12-over par 84's to shoot 24-over after 36 holes to sit in 63
rd place.
Tee Time:
Kennesaw State will return for Round 3 on Tuesday, March 24. The final round will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
