EATONTON, Ga. –
Kyle Bachkosky led the Kennesaw State men's golf team in round two at the Linger Longer Invitational at Great Waters Golf Club at Reynolds Lake Oconee on Saturday.
"Due to an injury that prevented one of our players from finishing round one, along with a scoring error discovered last night, we are unable to post the required four scores and are therefore ineligible for the team competition at Linger Longer, head coach
Bryant Odom said. "We will continue competing the rest of the weekend as individuals and look forward to finishing the tournament the right way."
Bachkosky led the Owls on Saturday with a round of 1-under par 71. He is tied for fifth at 5-under par. The senior has made 23 pars and nine birdies during his opening 36 holes.
Shaun Cook and
Walker Gantt each recorded their second consecutive rounds of 1-over par 73 and are tied for 52
nd at 2-over par 146.
Playing as individuals,
Ryan Nicholson and
Reed Sweigart are 94
th and 98
th respectively.
Hunter Gillard is in 107
th place.
The Owls are set to tee off in round of the Linger Longer Invitational at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Mar. 22.
