EATONTON, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team opened play at the Linger Longer Invitational at Great Waters Golf Club at Reynolds Lake Oconee on Friday.
The Owls carded a 4-under par round of 284 and are in ninth. Georgia leads the 18-team field at 21-under 267 after the opening round.
Kyle Bachkosky paced the Owls on a Sunday with a round of 3-under par 69. Bachkosky rolled in six birdies and 10 pars during the round.
Hunter Gillard carded a 2-under 70 and is in 22
nd place. He played his final 10 holes at 1-under par.
Shaun Cook and
Walker Gantt each opened with rounds of 1-over par 73 and are tied for 52
nd.
Playing as individuals,
Ryan Nicholson (74) is 63
rd and
Reed Sweigart (78) is in 96
th.
The Owls are set to tee off in round two of the Linger Longer Invitational at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Mar. 20.
