EATONTON, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team opened play at the Linger Longer Invitational at Great Waters Golf Club at Reynolds Lake Oconee on Friday.
 
The Owls carded a 4-under par round of 284 and are in ninth. Georgia leads the 18-team field at 21-under 267 after the opening round.
 
Kyle Bachkosky paced the Owls on a Sunday with a round of 3-under par 69. Bachkosky rolled in six birdies and 10 pars during the round.
 
Hunter Gillard carded a 2-under 70 and is in 22^nd place. He played his final 10 holes at 1-under par.
 
Shaun Cook and Walker Gantt each opened with rounds of 1-over par 73 and are tied for 52^nd.
 
Playing as individuals, Ryan Nicholson (74) is 63^rd and Reed Sweigart  (78) is in 96^th.
 
The Owls are set to tee off in round two of the Linger Longer Invitational at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Mar. 20.
