KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State men's tennis opens its 2026 home slate with three matches at Betty Siegel Courts Feb. 6-8 versus Samford, Troy and Georgia State.
OWL UPDATE
KSU split its season-opening matches at Miami and versus Stetson in Coral Gables, Florida Jan. 31-Feb. 1. The Owls fell 1-4 to the Hurricanes but bounced back to defeat the Hatters 4-3.
FRESHMEN DEBUT

Dominic Ducariu and
Nathan Walters each logged their first collegiate singles victories in Sunday's win over Stetson. Peranovic won in straight sets (6-4, 6-3) to claim the Owls' first point of the day. Walters took sets two and three (6-2, 6-3) for another singles point before Ducariu delivered the match-winner with strong second and third sets (6-3, 6-4).

Ben Hudson won both their doubles matches in Coral Gables while Peranovic and Walters earned a doubles victory against Miami.
SERIES HISTORY
Friday marks the seventh all-time meeting between KSU and Samford. The Owls have won three of the last four to even the series at 3-3. KSU seeks its first wins over Troy and Georgia State this weekend.
KNOW THE FOE
Samford arrives in Kennesaw fresh off a pair of 4-3 wins over Alabama and North Alabama. The defending SoCon Champions went 19-6 a season ago and capped 2025 with a loss to No. 20 Florida State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Samford is the first of five 2025 NCAA Tournament teams KSU will face this season.
Each of Troy's four wins on the season have come against Auburn University at Montgomery and West Alabama following losses to Florida State and Miami. The Trojans finished fourth in the Sun Belt (20-8) in 2025.
Georgia State has dropped back-to-back matches at North Florida (0-5) and Stetson (1-4). The Panthers will host Tennessee Tech Saturday prior to making the trip to Kennesaw. Georgia State finished eighth in the Sun Belt (5-16) last season.
UP NEXT
The Owls face Chattanooga on the road Feb. 13 before returning to host North Alabama Feb. 14.
