KENNESAW, Ga. – Macie Howes went yard for a third-straight game as Kennesaw State softball flew past Chattanooga, 3-1, at Bailey Park.

Leah Jannakos tossed her second complete game of the season, surrendering only four hits and one run in the outing.

Alora Bevily had her fourth multi-hit game of the season, going a perfect 2-for-2 with an RBI.

How It Happened
After a quiet first inning, the Mocs got on the board in the top of the second. The leadoff batter singled and worked her way to third with two outs. UTC's Ava Cowart knocked in the lead runner.

The Black and Gold responded in the bottom of the fourth inning. Ana Gore moved into scoring position then Bevily blooped an opposite-field single to score her.

Hannah Harvey gave KSU the led in the following inning. Addison Smith walked and was bunted over to second. Harvey ripped a ball into the gap to make it a 2-1 game.

Howes added an insurance run in the sixth with a solo shot.

Notes from the Diamond
  • Macie Howes homered for a third-straight game, becoming the first Owl since Lexi Solorzano in 2021 to achieve that feat. The Louisville native has already exceeded her 2025 season home run total.
  • Leah Jannakos tossed her second complete game of the season to improve to 4-0. She is the first Owl to win her first four decisions since Lindsey Kyte in 2020.
  • Alora Bevily added two more hits tonight and is 8-for-10 with two RBI in her last four games.
  • The Owls are 2-0 in Bailey Park under Selena Collins-Patterson.

On Deck
The Black and Gold will head to College Station for the Texas A&M Invitational with Saint Mary's, Louisiana and the Aggies. The Owls' first game is against the Gaels on Friday at 12:30 p.m.
