RIO VERDE, Ariz. – Sabrina Kim made a hole-in-one and true freshman
Ariana Silva shot under par in Round 3 as Kennesaw State women's golf surged up to a seventh-place finish at the Rio Verde Collegiate on Sunday.
The Owls posted 5-over par on Sunday to finish 41-over par (905) at the Rio Verde Country Club. Only one team shot better on Sunday – Akron (4-over).
Scoreboard
Silva led the way with a 2-under par 70 on Sunday to place 13
th individually and finish 6-over par for the weekend.
Kim jumped 21 spots to 30
th individually, shooting 2-over par on Sunday for a 12-over par finish. Kim fired in a hole-in-one on the par 3 second hole (180 yards).
Nyah Kelly carded a 4-over par 76 to finish 15-over for the tournament (44
th place), while
Jackie Jang finished 16-over par (50
th place) after a 7-over par Round 3 score.
Rounding out the Owls performances was
Alessandra Nagayo, who had her best day of the weekend, shooting 1-over par to finish 18-over (58
th place).

Kennesaw State will return the course quickly when they head to Wilmington, N.C. to compete in the River Landing Classic on March 2-3.
