RIO VERDE, Ariz. – Three golfers led the way as Kennesaw State women's golf placed fifth after the first day at the Rio Verde Collegiate on Friday.
The Owls posted a first-round 11-over par team score of 299 after 18 holes at the Rio Verde Country Club.

The Owls were led by three 2-over par 74's on Friday as
Nyah Kelly,
Ariana Silva and
Sabrina Kim all tied for 10
th individually.
Kelly led the way with four birdies, while Silva carded one birdie, but 14 pars, and Kim recorded two birdies.
Right behind them was
Jackie Jang, who shot 5-over for the day to place 43
rd.
Rounding out the KSU performers was
Alessandra Nagayo, who placed 80
th with a 10-over par 82 in the opening round.

Round 2 on Saturday will kick off with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. ET.
