LAST TIME OUT
A Sunday rainstorm prevented the Owls from playing at Georgia Southern on Feb. 15, but KSU did take to the courts last week for its home-opener versus App State on Feb. 13.

Despite winning the doubles point on courts one and three, KSU struggled in singles versus the Mountaineers and fell in a 2-5 decision.

Ema Baraniakova and Sofia Madrid defeated the Mountaineers' Savannah Dada Mascoll and Taya Powell, 6-2 in No. 1 doubles. Maria Ivankovic and Rianna Coreisa capped doubles play with a 6-4 win over Allegra Hodson and Ruby Broadbent. Terezia Baraniakova earned KSU's second point of the day with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Alexi Cleveland on court six.

Coreisa and Laura Nadaska fell in three-set matches on courts five and four, respectively. Dada Mascoll, the No. 6-ranked singles player nationally, overcame Madrid 6-3, 6-1 on court one. Ema Baraniakova and Ivankovic came up short in their singles matches on courts two and three.

SERIES HISTORY
KSU faces Troy for the sixth time on Wednesday. The Trojans lead the series 4-1, though the Owls won the last meeting 5-2 on January 26, 2025, in Kennesaw. Friday's KSU-UAB matchup is the 15th all-time. While the Blazers lead the series 11-3, KSU enters having won a season ago. The Owls topped UAB at home 4-1 on April 12, 2025.

KSU and Furman meet for just the second time on Sunday, with the Paladins having won the only prior meeting, 6-1, in Greenville, South Carolina, in 2021.

KNOW THE FOE
Troy enters Wednesday's match 4-2 following a 6-1 win at Florida A&M on Feb. 12 and a 0-4 loss at No. 24 Florida on Feb. 13. The Trojans went 13-10 (6-5) in 2025 and finished seventh in the Sun Belt.

UAB is 2-4 and coming off a 0-4 defeat at the hands of Grand Canyon in Auburn, Alabama, on Feb. 14. The Blazers finished 2025 at 14-9.

Furman is 4-3 after splitting its matches a week ago with a 1-6 defeat versus Mississippi State and a 4-2 win over Memphis. The Paladins feature two ITA-ranked doubles teams in No. 18 Sasha Dimitrov and Lillie Murphy, as well as Murphy and Elle Warren at No. 39. Furman is the only 2025 NCAA Tournament team KSU will face in the regular season. The Paladins went 21-4 (7-0) to win the SoCon last season before falling 1-4 to No. 21 UCF in the NCAA first round.
