KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State men's tennis came up short to North Alabama in a 4-3 match on Saturday afternoon at Betty Siegel Courts.
"Another great battle out there today," said KSU associate head coach
Simon Pritchard. "This team fights really hard and finds ways to put themselves in winning positions. We have some things to work on this week so that the next time we are in the same spot, we'll be ready."
KSU was down 2-0 after the Lions won the doubles point and No. 2 singles.
Dominic Ducariu then sparked the Owls' rally with a straight-set (6-3, 7-6) win on court four over UNA's Samu Dominguez.
Leon Peranovic followed with another singles win to square the match 2-2. Peranovic overcame Izan Orgiles 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 on court three.
The Lions took the match with wins on courts one and six, both in three sets, against
Ben Hudson and
Xavi Ferrer, respectively.
Nathan Walters finished the day strong for KSU with a court-five win at 6-7, 7-6, 6-0. Walters is 6-1 on the season in No. 5 singles with six consecutive wins.
