WEATHERING THE STORM
The Owls endured frigid temperatures and difficult travel conditions on their season-opening trip to Bloomington, Indiana, Jan. 23-24. KSU dropped both matches in Bloomington, 2-5 to host Indiana, and 1-6 to DePaul. Winter weather again impacted the Owls the following week, with matches at Virginia Tech on Feb. 1 and at UNCG on Feb. 3 slated to be rescheduled at a later date.

KSU's No. 2 doubles pair of Laura Nadaska and Izabelle Persson has won each of their first two matches of the season. Nadaska and Persson helped the Owls to a doubles point against the Hoosiers with a 6-4 match victory. The duo again delivered a 6-2 win on court two versus DePaul.

Freshmen Irene Serrano Maestre and Maria Ivankovic secured KSU's doubles point versus Indiana with a 6-3 win on court three. Serrano Maestre has won each of her first two singles matches, both straight-set victories on court six.

SERIES HISTORY
KSU and App State meet for the first time on Friday, while Sunday marks the 13th all-time meeting between the Owls and Georgia Southern. KSU trails 3-9 in the series and seeks its first win over the Eagles since 2014 on Sunday.
