ATLANTA – In a Georgia battle, Georgia Tech defeated Kennesaw State softball, 10-2, under the lights.
Outfielders
Ana Gore and
Ava Brooke Strickland both had multi-hit games for the Black and Gold.
Taylor Daniel made her first start in the circle this season.
Former Owl

How It Happened
GT scored in the bottom of the first via the longball. Alyssa Willer went opposite field for the first run of the evening.
Macie Howes got the run back in the third.
Hannah Harvey led off with a walk then advanced to second the next at-bat. Howes smoked a ball past the third baseman to bring home Harvey.
The Yellow Jackets responded in the third inning. After allowing the first two batters to get on,
Leah Jannakos came in relief. With the bases loaded, GT beat out a double play to break the tie before an RBI single made it 3-1.
Both teams traded runs again in the fourth.
Danielle Bailey took advantage of a passed ball and scored in the top part of the frame.
In the fifth inning, the Yellow Jackets broke away, scoring five runs. Three-straight batters knocked in a runner and the game was 9-2 heading into the sixth.
A sacrifice fly would induce the run rule.
