HUMACAO, Puerto Rico — Kennesaw State carded a 4-under-par round of 284 to finish tied for sixth at the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate at Palmas Del Mar CC Flamboyan on Tuesday.

"We saw a lot of positives this week in Puerto Rico," head coach Bryant Odom said. "Every player contributed meaningful rounds, Shaun shared the lead through 36 holes, and Hunter posted a big round today to move into the top 10. With a good break before our next event, the areas we need to improve are clear and very manageable. These back-to-back events gave us a strong picture of our potential and where we can tighten things up as we move through the rest of the spring."

Hunter Gillard recorded an eagle, five birdies and 10 pars to post a 5-under 67 in the final round, finishing tied for seventh in the event. His 5-under 67 marked a career-low round and represented his second top-10 finish and fourth top-15 finish of the season.

Shaun Cook carded a 4-over 76 in the final round and finished 11th at 5-under-par 211. Cook has placed in the top 16 in four of Kennesaw State's seven tournaments this season.

Kyle Bachkosky posted his best round of the tournament Tuesday. The senior rolled in four birdies and 13 pars to shoot a 3-under 69 and finished tied for 44th at 3-over 219.

Playing as an individual, Reed Sweigart shot a 76 and finished tied for 47th at 4-over 220.

Freshmen Walker Gantt and Ryan Nichnolson recorded rounds of 2-over-par 74, finishing tied for 62nd and 65th, respectively.
