MACON, Ga. — Kennesaw State men's tennis capped its second weekend of fall action on Saturday at the Mercer Gridiron Classic.
Kyvan Rietkerk highlighted the Owls' performances with a 3-0 showing in singles play. After a 6-2, 6-2 defeat of Abraham Baldwin College's Marc Brugeura, Rietkerk overcame Georgia College's Nils Vercruyssen 6-1, 6-3 and Mario Curiel of Abraham Baldwin.
"This was a great weekend overall, especially to see Kyvan return to the singles court and go undefeated," said KSU associate head coach

Nathan Walters and
Konstantinos Megalemos added three more singles wins for KSU. Walters overtook Barry's Agustin Mastri 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, while Megalemos defeated GCSU's Andergassen 7-5, 6-2.
The Owls earned five doubles wins over pairs from East Tennessee State, Georgia College, Abraham Baldwin and Mercer.
Xavi Ferrer and
Nathan Walters teamed up to beat the Buccaneers' Sala Pages and Eduardo De Benedictis 6-3.
Juan Parrilla and
Frederik Tandeter defeated GCSU's Jakob Andergassen and Luke Ossthuizen.
Rietkerk and Megalemos strung together three straight doubles wins in Macon.
The KSU duo defeated Abraham Baldwin's Gaspard Filleteau and Artur Lovison 6-0 in the first round. After a 6-3 win over Mercer's Cameron Douthit and Diego Paternostro, Rietkerk and Megalemos finished the tournament defeating Vadim Francois and Victor Laurenson of Abraham Baldwin.
The Owls return to action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regional Championships in Atlanta Oct. 14-18.
