Warner Paces Kennesaw State on Final Day of Vanderbilt Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Justin Warner won the 400 meters in 47.12 seconds Saturday at the Vanderbilt Invitational for Kennesaw State track and field.

KSU wrapped up competition in Nashville Saturday with Keira Hight winning the women's pole vault with a personal-best clearance of 3.85m (12'7.5"). 

Men's Recap

Chinedum Ike posted a personal-best leap of 15.42 meters (50 feet, 7¼ inches) to finish second in the triple jump.

Freshman Gage Voyles cleared 2.03 meters (6-8) to place third in the high jump, while Kenyatta Bennett finished fifth after clearing 1.98 meters (6-6).

Rickey Robbins recorded a mark of 17.09 meters (56-1) to place fourth in the shot put, and Evan Martinez followed in fifth at 16.63 meters (54-6¾).

Edwin Kiprono ran the third-fastest mile time in program history, placing 11th in 4 minutes, 9.51 seconds.


Women's Recap 

Victoria Joyce finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 12.46 meters (40-10½).

Morgan Pepe cleared 3.85 meters (12-7½) to tie for fourth in the pole vault. The mark ranks fifth in program history.

Madison Seiler placed 11th in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:31.87, the second-fastest in program history.
