WAYNESVILLE, N.C. — The Kennesaw State men's golf team finished second Tuesday at the J.T. Poston Invitational, held at the Waynesville Inn and Golf Club.
The Owls posted a final-round score of 7-under-par 273 to finish at 12-under 828 for the tournament. The 7-under round marked an 18-hole program record, while the 12-under total set a 54-hole program record on a par-70 course.
"Our guys battled every round and kept climbing the leaderboard, even though we came up just short of closing out the win this time," head coach Bryant Odom said. "Having four players finish inside the top 25 and holding the lead both individually and as a team today shows the kind of golf we're capable of. I'm proud of the trust and belief that is growing within this group, and I'm excited about where this fall season is headed."
