WAYNESVILLE, N.C. — The Kennesaw State men's golf team sits in third place after the second round of the J.T. Poston Invitational on Monday at the Waynesville Inn and Golf Club.
The Owls posted a 2-under-par 278 and are just one shot behind second place heading into Tuesday's final round.
Shaun Cook led the way with five birdies and 11 pars en route to a 3-under 67. He is tied for second at 5-under 136.
Hunter Gillard carded a 2-over 72 and is tied for 12th at 1-under 139.
Kyle Bachkosky recorded his second consecutive even-par 70 and is tied for 17th at even-par 140.
Walker Gantt is tied for 41st after a 1-over 71. He stands at 3-over 143 through two rounds.
Luca Gallangani also shot a 70 and is tied for 46th at 4-over 144.
Competing as an individual, Reed Sweigart posted a 5-over 75 and is tied for 85th at 12-over 152.
Kennesaw State concludes play in the J.T. Poston Invitational with the final round on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
