BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –The Kennesaw State men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance this past weekend, headlined by an impressive singles sweep against in-state rival Georgia State and standout showings from several Owls.

Leon Peranovic and Nathan Walters led the charge for the Owls, each going 5-1 on the weekend while remaining undefeated in singles play. Their consistency and grit at the top of the lineup set the tone for the team's strong showing.

Joining them in the undefeated singles column was Junior Kyvan Rietkerk, who continues to impress early in his Fall campaign. His poise and precision on court contributed key points to the Owls' overall success.

The team capped off the weekend with a commanding sweep of Georgia State in singles competition, asserting their depth and resilience across all courts.

Xavi Ferrer added to the Owls' tally with two singles wins and two doubles victories, showcasing his versatility and impact in both formats. Meanwhile, Erik Vladimirov contributed a steady performance with one singles win and two doubles victories.

Sunday's match also featured a pair of milestone moments as newcomers Dominic Ducariu and Ben Hudson each notched their first career singles victories as Owls in the matchup against Georgia State — a memorable way to open their collegiate accounts.

The weekend's results underline the depth, energy, and upward momentum of a Kennesaw State squad determined to make waves this season.

The Owls return to action at the Mercer Gridiron Classic from Oct 3-5, as they continue their fall campaign.
