KENNESAW, Ga. – Four members of the Kennesaw State women's tennis team and three members of the men's tennis team collected Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic honors, the organization announced Monday. In addition, the women's team earned their 14th consecutive team honor. The men's team picked up their 10
th team academic honor in program history.
The women's student-athletes honored were
Izabelle Persson,
Che Nel,
Sofia Madrid, and
Sophia Unger. The men's student-athletes who were honored were Javier Ferrer,
Mikolaj Lis,
Erik Vladimirov.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and been listed on the institutional eligibility form.
