Kali Terza at 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships

Terza Named Conference USA Women's Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year

DALLAS - Kennesaw State thrower Kali Terza was named the Conference USA Women's Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, in a vote by the league's Faculty Athletics Representatives.

The awards, voted on by the conference's 10 FARs, are presented to the top student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport based on academic achievement (GPA), athletic achievement and community service.

Terza is the first Owl in program and department history to earn a CUSA Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor.

Terza graduated in May with her degree in Criminal Justice and a 3.76 GPA. She earned CSC All-District honors. She also was named to the CUSA Academic Honor Roll and received a CUSA Medal of Honor.

Terza shined during the outdoor season. She earned second-team All-American honors with a 13th place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a mark of 64.98m (213'2). She landed her career-best toss of 66.75m (219'0") at NCAA East First Rounds. Her mark of 64.98m (213'2") ranked 12th in the NCAA East Region this season.

She won the silver medal at the CUSA Outdoor Championships. She competed in nine meets on the year in the hammer throw and finished third or better in eight of the nine.

Outside of the throwing cage and the classroom, Terza is very active in the community. She has volunteered with several organizations including Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Woodstock Church and the NIL Women's Empowerment Program.
