GREENWOOD, Ind. - Kennesaw State softball student-athletes
Ava Guzowski,
Emma Friedel and
Macie Howes earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, the outlet announced this week.
Guzowksi, a sophomore infielder for the Owls, tallied a 3.90 GPA while pursuing a degree in accounting. She started in every game for KSU this season, amassing a .300 batting average with 45 hits.
Friedel recorded a GPA of 3.75 as a management major. The sophomore pitcher collected seven wins on the season with 85 strikeouts this season.
Pursuing a degree in elementary education, Howes earned a 3.95 GPA for the semester. The All-CUSA Second Team honoree posted 33 hits with 51 starts in her junior season with the Black and Gold.
These honors mark the fourth, fifth and sixth CSC Academic All-District selections for Kennesaw State softball and first since Taylor Cates in 2022.
