CARLSBAD, Calif – Claes Borregaard posted a 3-over par round of 75 in round three of the NCAA Men's Golf Championships Sunday at the North Course at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.
The seniors total of 5-over par 221 tied him for 55th among the 152 players who completed 54 holes missing the advancing cut to the fourth round and bringing the Kennesaw State season, and his Owls career, to an end.
Borregaard made two birdies and 12 pars during his round. He finished the tournament with 10 birdies and 42 pars.
Borregaard concludes his KSU outstanding career as the school record holder in tournaments as KSU top finisher (22), rounds played in a season (40) and career scoring average (71.83).
As an Owl, Borregaard made history as the first player in KSU history advance to the National Championships as an individual. He was named CUSA Player of the Year in 2025 and earned Ping All-Region honors.
