AUBURN, Ala. –
Claes Borregaard grabbed the individual lead at the NCAA Auburn Regional at AU Golf Club Tuesday.
The senior carded a second consecutive round of 4-under par 68 and sits at 8-under par 136 through 36 holes. He made five birdies and eight pars during his round. The Smorum, Denmark native leads the field in Par 4 scoring average at 3.65 and birdies with 12.
Borregaard currently leads all 10 individuals who are vying to be the low individual not on an advancing team after 54 holes to secure a spot in the NCAA Championship May 23-28 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa's Champions Course in Carlsbad, Calif.
Borregaard will tee off in round three of the NCAA Auburn Regional at 11:04 a.m. ET on Wednesday, May 12 off No. 1.
