AUBURN, Ala. –
Claes Borregaard opened play at the NCAA Auburn Regional at AU Golf Club on Monday.
The senior posted a round of 4-under par 68 and is tied for third. He rolled in seven birdies and eight pars during his round. The Smorum, Denmark native leads the field in Par 4 scoring average at 3.60 and is tied for the field lead in birdies with seven.
Borregaard currently leads all 10 individuals who are vying to be the low individual after 54 holes and advance to the NCAA Championship May 23-28 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa's Champions Course in Carlsbad, Calif.
Borregaard will tee off in round two of the NCAA Auburn Regional at 11:04 a.m. ET on Tuesday, May 12 off No. 1.
