Kennesaw, Ga. - The Kennesaw State women's tennis team picked up a 6-1 victory over Alabama State on the Betty Siegel Courts Tuesday.
KSU won the doubles point and five singles matches to secure the win. The win was the Owls 11th win over the Hornets.
"Proud of the women today. I thought we did a great job of handling the conditions and finishing the matches we got up in. We're excited to get back to work and get ready for Jacksonville State on Friday!" Director of Tennis
Matt Emery said.
KSU won the doubles point with a pair of wins on courts one and two.
Ema Baraniakova and
Sofia Madrid picked up a (6-4) win on court one.
Laura Nadaska and
Che Nel collected a (6-2) win on court three.
Ema Baraniakova (6-2, 6-3),
Izabelle Persson (7-6, 6-0) and
Sofia Madrid (6-1, 6-1),
Sophia Unger (6-0, 6-2) and
Che Nel (6-2, 6-4) all picked up wins in singles matches..

The Owls will travel to Jacksonville State on Friday, April 11 at 3 p.m. ET
