TEXARKANA, Ark. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team moved up to fifth place after 36 holes at the Conference USA Golf Championship at Texarkana Country Club.
KSU carded a 3-under par round of 285 on Tuesday. KSU has a 1-over par total of 577 through 36 holes. The Owls sit just three shots out of a tie for second place with 18 holes of stroke play remaining. After the third round on Wednesday, the top four teams will advance to match play on Thursday.
Claes Borregaard led the Owls with a 4-under par 68 in round two. The senior made five birdies and 12 pars in his round. He is tied for second at 4-under par 140.
Shaun Cook posted his second consecutive even-par round of 72 Tuesday. He is tied for 15
th at even-par 144.
Hunter Gillard played his final nine holes at 2-under par to record a 1-over 73. He is tied for 25
th at 3-over par 147.
Kyle Bachkosky (72) and
Luca Gallingani (76) are tied for 34
th at 6-over par 150.
KSU will tee off in round three of the Conference USA Championships from 9 a.m. – 9:44 a.m. with UTEP and New Mexico State on Apr. 22.
