TEXARKANA, Ark. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team sits in seventh place after 18 holes at the Conference USA Golf Championship at Texarkana Country Club.
KSU posted a 4-over par round of 292 on Monday. The Owls sit just two shots out of fourth place with 36 holes of stroke play. After the third round on Wednesday, the top four teams will advance to match play on Thursday.
Shaun Cook and
Claes Borregaard both carded even-par rounds of 72 Monday. They are tied for 14
th place. Cook rolled in 14 pars and two birdies while Borregaard made 12 pars and two birdies.
Luca Gallingani and
Hunter Gillard each posted rounds of 2-over par 74 and are tied for 23
rd. Gillard made birdies on his final two holes of the day. Gallingani made three birdies over his final nine holes.
Kyle Bachkosky is tied for 43
rd after a 6-over par 78.
KSU will tee off in round two of the Conference USA Championships from 10 a.m. – 10:44 a.m. with Western Kentucky and JSU on Apr. 21.
