Kennesaw, Ga. - The Kennesaw State women's tennis team fell 4-2 to Liberty in the Conference USA Quarterfinals on Thursday, April 17.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Owls obtained the doubles point with winning matches on courts one and two.
Ema Baraniakova and
Sofia Madrid (6-2)
Izabelle Persson and
Sophia Unger (6-0)

Liberty was able to pull away with the overall victory by securing wins in four singles matches.

Ema Baraniakova collected a 6-4, 6-2 win on court one in singles action.

"Obviously a tough one today against a good Liberty team. I thought we did a great job in the doubles, especially at one and two to put us on the board. We just let that momentum slip a little bit too early in the singles courts."

"I couldn't be prouder of our team. The women competed their tails off, left everything they had out on the court and represented KSU incredibly well. It was a ton of fun coaching this group this season, and I'm grateful to be their coach."
Director of Tennis Matt Emery said.
