Women’s Golf Sits Fifth After 18 Holes at ‘More Than Golf’

AIKEN, S.C. – Kennesaw State women's golf hit the ground running with a strong 18 holes to start the "More Than Golf" Invitational on Friday at Old Barnwell Golf Club.
 
The Owls posted a 13-over par score of 305 to finish Day 1 in fifth place.

Fresh off being named Conference USA Golfer of the Week, Alessandra Nagayo fired another under-par round, carding a 1-under par 72 thanks to three birdies on the front nine and five overall to place third overall after Day 1.
 
Right behind her is teammates Sabrina Kim and Hannah Cheryl Alan, who are tied in 13th with a 2-over par 75 with three birdies between them.
 
Rounding out the Owls' performances was Jackie Jang (53rd), who recorded a 10-over par 83, and Ladina Luder (63rd), who shot 13-over.
 
Competing as an individual, Natasha Korman also finished top 45, carding an 8-over par 81 (44th).
 
Next Tee Time
 
Kennesaw State will compete in Round 2 on Saturday morning. Tee times begin on holes 1 & 10, starting at 8:30 a.m.
