HUMACAO, PUERTO RICO. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team is tied for fifth at the Palmas del Mar Collegiate after the opening round of play at Palmas del Mar Golf Club on Sunday.
KSU carded a round of 1-over par 289 on Sunday.
Claes Borregaard made six birdies and eight pars to post a 3-under 69 to lead the Owls. The senior is fifth place.
Shaun Cook and
Joshua Todd are tied at 28
th after each carded rounds of 1-over 73.
Luca Gallingani played his last seven holes at 1-under par to card a 2-over 74. The freshman is tied for 37th.
Hunter Gillard (76) and
Kyle Bachkosky (76) are tied for 54
th at 4-over par. Bachkosky is playing as an individual this week.
Round two of the Palmas del Mar Collegiate is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 10 with a shotgun start beginning at 7:30 a.m. ET.
