KENNESAW, Ga. – Head coach Octavia Blue announced the hiring of Erykah Davenport as Director of Women's Basketball Operations Wednesday.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Erykah as our new Director of Basketball Operations," Blue said. "Having coached her as a player, I know firsthand the level of organization, work ethic, and character she brings to everything she does. While she's early in her operations career, her ability to connect with both our staff and our student-athletes is truly special. I have complete confidence that she will elevate our program and embody the values we stand for."

Davenport joins KSU's women's basketball with previous experience working with student-athletes, coaching and program coordination.

"I'm truly thankful and honored to represent KSU women's basketball as the Director of Basketball Operations," Davenport said. "This opportunity means more to me than I can put into words. Being able to contribute to a program that values hard work, character, and real connection feels like the perfect fit for who I am."

At the Healthy Youth USA Foundation from 2022-24, she mentored over 150 students each year, fostering academic growth and enhancing emotional intelligence. She also promoted youth development through sports and recreation.

She was previously a coach with the Atlanta Celtics from 2020-23. There, she developed a comprehensive training regimen, focusing on strength, agility and skills acquisition. With an emphasis on data-driven training, she led the team to back-to-back regional championships.

From 2014-18, Davenport played at the University of Miami (Fla.) under Coach Blue. In her senior season, she received Second Team All-ACC honors and was named to the Katrina McClain Award Watch List, given to the nation's best power forward.

Davenport graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. She was the Women's Basketball Chair Member on Miami's Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
