KENNESAW, Ga. –
After suffering a heartbreaking loss on Saturday, Kennesaw State women's basketball hits the road for the first time this season to face ETSU.

The Black and Gold were down for a majority of the contest against FAU, trailing by 8 to start the fourth quarter. They roared all the way back – led by Keyarah Berry's 21 second-half points – and took the lead with under 90 seconds left. After KSU missed both free throws to ice the game, FAU took the ball down the court and sank the game-winning three.

ETSU enters Wednesday's game with an 0-2 record, most recently falling to No. 8 Tennessee on the road.

The series history favors the Bucs, who are 11-1 all time, although these teams haven't played each other since 2014 when ETSU and KSU were in the Atlantic Sun.

Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+.

Berry Nice
After being named to the CUSA Preseason Team, graduate guard Keyarah Berry is living up to the hype. She scored a career-high 25 points against FAU, with 21 of those coming in the second half. She is also contributing on the defensive end, recording three steals in back-to-back games. Berry currently ranks second in CUSA in steals (6), fourth in scoring (19.0 points-per-game) and fourth in field goal percentage (60.0%).

What a Debut
In her first game at KSU, Shania Nichols erupted for 20 points in 19 minutes of action against Shorter. She went 6-of-9 from behind the arc, 7-of-11 from the field overall. Her six three-pointers are tied for the most by a Conference USA player this season.

Lockdown Defense
Effort has been a calling card of the Owls under Coach Octavia Blue and the 2025-26 season has been no different so far. In their first game, KSU held Shorter to 36 points and forced 26 turnovers.  Against FAU, the Black and Gold once again forced more turnovers than they committed. Among CUSA teams, KSU ranks second in turnover margin (+7.5), third in opponents-points-per-game (52.5) and third in steals (21).
