Weather Shortens Final Round, Kennesaw State Men’s Golf Finishes Fifth at Cullan Brown Collegiate

10/7/2025 1:13:00 PM

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team finished in fifth place at the Cullan Brown Collegiate after Tuesday's final round was canceled due to weather at Lexington Country Club.

"Unfortunately, weather kept us from completing all 54 holes, but our strong opening round once again put us right in the mix," head coach Bryant Odom said. "This group continues to show they can compete anywhere and perform as a unit when it counts. We'll use the rest of the week to recover and get ready for The Scrappy at Cobblestone, where we're proud to defend one of our home venues."

Play was suspended Monday with 34 of 36 holes completed in the opening two rounds. The Owls recorded team scores of 277 and 291 for an even-par total of 588.

Hunter Gillard led KSU with a tie for 14th place, carding rounds of 69 and 72 for a 1-under-par total of 141. He tallied eight birdies and 22 pars in the 36-hole event.

Kyle Bachkosky finished at even par (67-75-142), while Shaun Cook tied for 33rd with rounds of 71 and 72 (143, +1).

Reed Sweigart (70-77) and Luca Gallingani (75-72) each finished at 5-over 147, tying for 58th.

Competing as an individual, Josh Ledford shot 77-80—157 (+15) to place 89th.
