LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team opened play at the Cullan Brown Collegiate on Monday at Lexington Country Club, finishing the first day in fifth place.
The Owls posted a 7-under-par 277 in the first round. The second round began later in the day, but play was suspended due to darkness with the Owls having completed 15-17 holes. KSU stood at 2-over-par for the tournament when play was halted.
Second-round action is scheduled to resume at 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 7, with the final round to follow immediately after.
Kyle Bachkosky and
Hunter Gillard led the Owls, each tied for 16th at 1-under-par. Bachkosky fired a 4-under 69 in the opening round and is 3-over through 17 holes in round two. Gillard carded a 2-under 69 and sits at 1-over through 17.
Shaun Cook is tied for 36th at 1-over-par. He shot an even-par 71 in round one and is 1-over through 15 holes in the second round.
Luca Gallingani is tied for 57th at 4-over. He opened with a 75 and is even-par through 16 holes of round two.
Reed Sweigart posted a 1-under 70 in the first round but is 7-over through 16 holes in round two.
Competing as an individual,
Josh Ledford shot a 77 in the opening round and is 7-over through 16 holes in round two. He is currently in 87th place.
Kennesaw State will wrap up play at the Cullan Brown Collegiate on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
