                 KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State will look to win its first men's and women's team titles at the CUSA Cross Country Championships, Saturday morning. The races will be conducted at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala.
 
The women's 6K will begin at 10 a.m. Eastern, while the gun will go off for the men's 8K at 11 a.m. Eastern.
 
This will be KSU's second of three meets at John Hunt Park this season. Kennesaw State competed in the Southern Showcase in September and will also compete in the NCAA South Regional there next month.

Women's  Preview
The Kennesaw State women enter Saturday's 6K with high expectations to compete for the team title.
 
The Owls have run well this fall, recording top-six finishes at the Stan Sims Invitational (second), Southern Showcase (fifth), Louisville XC Classic (first) and the Crimson Classic (sixth) .
 
Kennesaw State soars to Huntsville with the second-best regional ranking (No.11 in South Region) of any CUSA member.
 
KSU has been led by 
Madison Seiler this year. Joining Seiler up front has been 
Emma Ferguson along with newcomers 
Samantha McGarity and 
. Akshana. Ferguson finished 10
th and Seiler took home 15
th place at the 2024 CUSA XC Championships.
Liberty won the 2024 CUSA title and is the highest ranked team entering Saturday's race. MTSU, Missouri State and Jacksonville State are all expected to be in contention as well.
 
 
Men's Preview 
Kennesaw State returns a pair of All-Conference honorees from 2024 in 
Collins Kipkemboi and 
Brian Limo. Kipkemboi finished second and Limo placed sixth at the 2024 CUSA Championships. 
 
They are expected to be joined on the podium by 
Edwin Kiprono who joined KSU in January of 2025. Kiprono made an immediate impact in track and field upon his arrival and has been one of KSU's top three finishers in all four meets this season.
 
Kipkemboi has earned CUSA Runner of the Week honors three times this season. The sophomore won the individual title at the Stan Sims XC opener in August. He has placed first, fifth, second and third in four meets this season.
 
Liberty and MTSU enter the men's 8K as the favorites for the team title. KSU will need strong finishes from the four and five runners to secure a spot in the top three and compete for the team title.
 
Up Next
Kennesaw State will compete at the NCAA Division I South Regional Championships on Nov. 14. The meet, which will determine the team and individual qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships, will take place at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala.
