KSU Cross Country Returns to Action at Louisville Cross Country Classic

KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's cross country teams return to competition Saturday at The Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic, hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission.
 
The men's 8K race is set to begin at 9 a.m. ET, followed by the women's 6K at 11 a.m. ET. Both races will take place at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park.
 
The KSU men finished 14th at the Southern Showcase. Collins Kipkemboi guided the way with a 5K time of 23;26.7, followed by Edwin Kiprono (23:49.9) and Brian Limo (24:03.4). Kipekmboi took home fifth, while Kiprono finished 13th and Limo placed 19th.
 
In the women's 5K at the Southern Showcase, Madison Seiler led the KSU women, clocking in at 17:06.0 to take home 15th. Emma Ferguson (17:29.2) and Samantha McGarity (17:30.4)placed 35th and 36th.
 
Ten women and eight men are scheduled to compete for the Owls on Saturday.
 
The Owls return to action on Friday, Oct. 17 at the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
