BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team turned in a strong showing at the Country Club of Birmingham Invitational over the weekend, earning several key singles victories against regional competition.
Dominic Ducariu rallied for a three-set win over Samford, 4-6, 6-3, 6-0, while Xavier Ferrer picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win over Louisiana-Lafayette and a 7-6, 6-4 decision over College of Charleston.
Kyvan Rietkerk notched a straight-sets victory against College of Charleston, 6-2, 6-3, and Erik Vladimirov added two wins of his own. Vladimirov battled past Tulane, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, before defeating UAB, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.
